Description & Features
CV1100 control valve trim is uniquely designed to avoid the difficulties associated with screwed-in seats and cage-guiding. Removal of the seat is easy even under extremely corrosive conditions because the seat ring is in just clamped into the body by the bonnet and seat retainer.
Plugs are double-stem guided, avoiding contact between the seat retainer and plug, unlike cage-guided trims that easily gall and stick. Because no contact is made with the plug, the retainer can be constructed of stainless steel rather than costly hard materials and guide direct fluid, buffer pressure of fluid, protect plug and seat from erosion, flash, cavitation of fluid damage and reduce noise. The flow characteristic is determined by the plug contour, and not by the opening in the retainer. So with the advantage of single seat and cage guided control valve.
